Mahdood Music LLC: An Independant Record Label
Mahdood Music is an independent record label based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. created in an attempt to get some of Mahdood’s music out into the world. My stage name is Mahdood so it just made sense to branch off of that and form Mahdood Music LLC, the record label. My intention is to create original music that’s not easily definable in terms of genres. I’m bringing my 15 years of experience behind the ivories to produce some off the wall shit.
It’s hard enough being an independent musician these days. This is something I’m doing in an attempt to appeal to broader audiences, add a touch of professionalism, and get my music recognized on an international level. As an independent music producer, I create and promote original music. Showcasing my love for piano, artistry, and the game. My dream is to further this through live performance, videos, photos, and merchandise on my new label – Mahdood Music LLC.

I consider myself a music lover first, and a musician second. Playing music gives me a sense of happiness and joy that I want to share with others. Music has often been the only consistent thing in my life. When there’s no words I can think of to express what I’m feeling, or no one there to listen, I can play a tune or put on a song and suddenly I feel better, and everything is okay for one moment. If you’ve ever been at a live show, when your favorite band is doing the impossible, for that one moment, everything feels right in the world. Music seems like the only thing that really makes sense in these fucked up times we’re living in. It’s a way to escape but also a way to say the things that words can’t say. After over 15 years of honing my craft as a pianist, it’s high time I contribute something to the world.
I look forward to beginning this journey of musical exploration together and see where it takes us.

Mahdood is a project conjured up one fateful morning in Santa Fe, New Mexico. After a historic After-Party after a magical evening spent at the one and only Mustachio Bashio at Meow Wolf, a friend of mine (who’s name will remain unmentioned) pointed out that since I refer to everyone as “My Dude” that I should name my independent project after my colloquialism. Thus Mahdood was born.
The recipe is this: Start with a piano. Mix in a couple synths. Add an MPC into the mix. Sprinkle in a little jazz, a little funk, a little classical, a little hip-hop, some improv and a touch of class. Stir slowly for 15+ years and out of the puddle of whatever you’d like to call it: arises Mahdood. This is my attempt to get my music out there for myself and others to enjoy.
